The first session of October on the Greek stock exchange continues with positive signs, with the General Index moving in a narrow range, just below 1,460 points.

The first session of October on the Greek stock exchange continues with positive signs, with the General Index moving in a narrow range, just below 1,460 points. The improved investment psychology, especially in foreign markets, is a key factor for the X.A. to remain close to the record levels of 1,500 points.

Specifically, in Tuesday's (1/10) session, the General Index strengthened by +0.39% and traded at 1,457.59 points. The high for the day is located at 1,459.12 points and the low for the day is at 1,454.35 points. Banks is the sector that stands out with its performance. ETE is gaining more than +0.5%, recovering after yesterday's "dip". At the same time, some stocks that corrected yesterday, such as OTE, Jumbo and PPA, are up.

The banking index is up +0.89%, trading at 1,262.58 points. The FTSE 25 (high cap) is up +0.46% at 3,543.61 points and the Mid Cap (mid cap) is up +0.23% at 2,332.77 points.

The value of the transactions stands at 14.1 million euros, of which 10.256 million euros are related to a package of NBG (1.321 million shares that changed hands at a price of 7.764 euros). The market capitalisation amounts to EUR 102,071 billion. 45 stocks are positive, 27 are negative and 11 are unchanged.

In the systemic banks, Eurobank is up +1.21% at 2.083 euros, NBG (+0.94% at 7.748 euros), Alpha Bank (+0.64% at 1.568 euros), and Piraeus (+0.63% at 3.85 euros).

In the high capitalization, OTE and ElvalHalcor are trading around +1%. In mid-cap, PPA is recovering after yesterday's strong decline, gaining +2.2%. They are followed by EXAE and Lavipharm, both up more than +1%. Of note is Interlife's -4.5% plunge in the wake of the publication of its half-yearly figures and EKTEP's -6.4% slide.
