The Athens Stock Exchange is under pressure today (2/10), with sellers holding the reins for the 3rd consecutive session, reversing the upward momentum.

As a result, the Greek market is moving away from the critical 1,450 level, with the short-term trend "turning" into negative territory, amid the broader deterioration of the investment climate.

All this, understandably, is affecting the General Index, which is down 0.92% to 1,433.70 points, losing about 13.5 points compared to Tuesday's close (1,447.03 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends over eight points (from 1,431.33 to 1,439.43 points), with trading turnover at 62 million euros, of which 19.5 million euros are pre-agreed packages.

The banking index remains in the focus of sellers, with the result that it retreats -1.13% and 1,224 points, about 10% away from this year's "peaks".

Eurobank's share is down -2.70% and 1.9675 euros, Alpha's share is down -2.02% and 1.5055 euros, Piraeus' share is trading -0.98% and 3.753 euros, while NBG share is slightly stronger at +0.50% and 7.688 euros, with a turnover of more than 15 million euros.

In the high-cap index (-1.05% and 3,473 points), OTE's share declines by 2.1% and "trims" to 15.4 euros, correcting from the highs of 16 euros. Shares of Motor Oil, Ellaktor, Elvalhalcor, PPI, Metlen, Lamda, Jumbo, Cenergy and Autohellas lose at least 1%, with Aegean down 2.5%. In contrast, Coca - Cola shares rise +0.7% to +0.7% and €32.1.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.88% and 2,311 points), Intracom shares stand out negatively at -2% and 3 euros, with Intralot shares following at -1.0% and 1.13 euros. Shares of Lavipharm, Profile, AVAX and Techniki Olympiaki are also down more than 2%, while shares of Intrakat, Quest and ADMIE are down more than -1%. On the flip side, PPA shares are up +1.1% to €27.3.
