The Athens Stock Exchange completed its 5th consecutive downward session today (3/10), with sellers extending to -3.6% the cumulative decline of the period.

Specifically, in the fourth session of the week, the General Index fell by 0.73% to 1,418.42 points, losing about 10.5 points compared to Wednesday's close (1,428.81 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations was fixed at 11 points (from 1,416.19 to 1,427.24 points), with turnover exceeding 809 million euros, of which "net" transactions amounted to 199.7 million euros (the remaining 609.8 million euros concerned packages).

The banking index remained in the center of the liquidation, retreating -0.99% to 1,207 points, which is almost 11% away from this year's highs of 1,354 points.

NBG shares slipped -1.31% and 7.55 euros, Eurobank shares retreated -1.27% and 1.95 euros, Alpha shares traded -0.37% and 1.4845 euros, while Piraeus shares fell -0.89% and 3.687 euros.

In the large-cap index (-0.77% and 3,430 points), Titan Cement shares retreated -2.5% and 34.0 euros, correcting from recent records. Cenergy - Jumbo shares also fell by at least 2%. Coca - Cola shares were down 1.2%. On the opposite side, OTE shares recovered by 0.8% and returned to 15.5 euros. Sarantis, Aegean and Autohellas followed at +0.5%.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.48% and 2,292 points), Kri Kri shares stood out negatively at -3% and 12.8 euros, correcting from consecutive records. Lavipharm's shares also showed losses of more than 2%, with shares of Fourlis, Intrakat, Profile, ADMIE and Intracom "clipped" by at least 1%. On the contrary, the PPA's share gained dynamically by +1.6%, approaching EUR 28 again.
