Sellers insist at the opening
Today (9/10) the Athens Stock Exchange continues in a downward trend, with sellers remaining at the helm, keeping the General Index below 1,450 points.

Today (9/10) the Athens Stock Exchange continues in a downward trend, with sellers remaining at the helm, keeping the General Index below 1,450 points.

At the same time, the geopolitical crisis in the Middle East maintains the prolonged uncertainty, with the result that the good news of the addition of the stock exchange. to the watch list for possible upgrading by the FTSE takes a back seat.

Specifically, in the 3rd session of the week, the General Index declined slightly by 0.37% to 1,422.03 points, losing 5.5 points compared to Tuesday's close (1,427.29 points).

The arc of the daily fluctuations extends to 10 points (from 1,420.28 to 1,430.77 points), with the turnover of the transactions ranging at 4 million in the first 15 minutes. 

Alpha's share retreats to -0.63% and 1.492 euros, the share of NBG slides to -0.58% and 7.54 euros, marginally below the placement price (7.55 euros), Eurobank's share trades at +0.51% and 1.98 euros, while Piraeus' share follows at +0.21% and 3.73 euros.

The share of Bank of Cyprus, for its part, plunges 11.7% and retreats to 4.28 euros, converging with the price of yesterday's placement, which took place at 4.2 euros and involved 3% of the share capital.

In the high-cap index (-0.01% and 3,447 points), Autohellas' shares retrace -2.2% and 10.4 euros, with ELVALHALKOR and EVDAP following at -0.9%. Sarantis, AIA and Ellaktor are down by up to 0.7%. On the flip side, Coca - Cola shares are up +0.7% at +0.7% and EUR 32.4. Titan, Aegean and Jumbo shares also gain 0.5%, with the latter two receiving a boost from the positive economic data published.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.11% and 2,291 points), the shares of EXAE are trying to take advantage of the watch list from the FTSE, gaining +0.7% AVAX  and Quest are up 1%. On the other hand, shares of Techniki Olympiaki lose 1.2%, while shares of Thrace Plastics follow at -0.9% and EUR 3.6. Special mention should be made of Attica Bank, which continues its free fall (-21%).
