Today (10/10), the buyers of the Athens Stock Exchange are trying to regain the "reins,"  trying to overturn the entrenched dominance of the sellers.

The "big" picture for the Greek market, however, remains... blurred, with investors appearing "dovish,"  not taking big risks, and keeping the General Index below 1,450 points.

The geopolitical crisis in the Middle East and "rich" equity offerings seem to be the two main factors behind this prolonged sluggishness, which even ignored the FTSE watch list.

Specifically, in the fourth session of the week, the General Index is up a modest 0.20% to 1,422.04 points, gaining around three points from Wednesday's close (1,419.27 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends two points (from 1,420.03 to 1,422.30 points), with the turnover of trading not exceeding 2.5 million in the first 15 minutes.

The banking index, which has been under considerable pressure lately, remains almost unchanged at +0.02% and 1,202 points, at least 10% away from this year's peaks.

ΝΒG shares are subtly stronger at +0.13% and €7.446, Eurobank's shares improve slightly at +0.15% and €1.957, Piraeus' shares trade at -0.19% and €3.683, while Alpha's shares are stable at €1.4825.

In the high-cap index (+0.24% and 3,449 points), Aegean's shares recover +1.1% and 10.3 euros, with Ellaktor and Coca-Cola shares gaining around +1% each. Autohellas shares are also reacting from 20-month lows, which are in the region of 10.5 euros. In contrast, Cenergy's shares are sliding -1.4% to EUR 9.3, while the price range for the AMK has been set at EUR 9 to 9.86. Viohalco and EYDAP are recovering 1.2% and 0.8%, respectively.

As for the mid-cap index (-0.13% and 2,288 points), Intrakat shares stand out negatively at -1.2% and 4.7 euros; Intralot and Profile follow at -0.7% and -0.6%, respectively. On the flip side, shares of AVAX and PPA continue in positive territory, gaining 0.7% each. special mention should be made of Attica Bank, which is up 3%, putting a stop to its streak of heavy losses.
