Inflation fell to 2.9% in September
Inflation stood at 2.9% in September, compared to 3% in August.

Inflation stood at 2.9% in September, compared to 3% in August.  ELSTAT data show that food prices rose by 3.2%, housing costs increased by 5.9%, education fees rose by 3.5%, and health prices increased by 3.7%, while hotels and restaurants saw 5.5% price increases.

On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose 1.8%, compared to an increase of 1.8% also recorded in the corresponding comparison of the previous year. 

The average index for the twelve months October 2023–September 2024, compared to the corresponding index for the twelve months October 2022–September 2023, showed an increase of 3%, compared to an increase of 4.7% recorded in the corresponding comparison of the twelve months October 2022–September 2023 with the twelve months October 2021–September 2022.
