One bid from the Consortium Fraport—Delta Airport Investments—PILEAS S.A. (Konstantakopoulos Group) was submitted in the tender for the concession of the right to administer, manage, operate, develop, expand, maintain, and exploit Kalamata International Airport, "Captain Vass.Konstantakopoulos'.

The tender for the 40-year concession contract involved major technical groups of the country and international airport operators, the GrowtFund notes.

The evaluation of the bids will start immediately, following the procedures foreseen, with the aim of declaring the Preferred Investor by the end of 2024.

It is recalled that the main objective of the Growth Fund, through the concession of Kalamata Airport, is the implementation of a series of investments integrated into a comprehensive business plan for the expansion and upgrading of the airport's infrastructure and the provision of a combination of high-quality operation and maintenance services for the airport.

At the same time, the Growth Fund will acquire a 10% stake in the Concession Company's share capital in order to ensure the continuity and rapid implementation of the project, which will further enhance the tourist flow in Messinia Prefecture and the southern part of the region.
