Accumulation continues for the 3rd consecutive day
The Athens Stock Exchange continues to accumulate forces for the 3rd consecutive session, with investors engaging in selective positioning without however escaping the narrow limits of 1,400 - 1,470 units.

The Athens Stock Exchange continues to accumulate forces for the 3rd consecutive session, with investors engaging in selective positioning without however escaping the narrow limits of 1,400 - 1,470 units.

The Greek market, moreover, does not seem to have the momentum to move significantly higher, as the absence of "fresh" funds does not allow an immediate convergence with the multi-year highs of 1,502 points, which have been ignored since May.

At the same time, the attention of analysts turns to Frankfurt, where at noon the Eurozone central bank is preparing to proceed with its 3rd rate cut, implementing a new intervention of 25 basis points.

Specifically, in the 4th session of the week, the General Index is up slightly by 0.32% to 1,434.68 points, gaining 4.5 points compared to Wednesday's close (1,430.09 points).

The arc of daily fluctuations extends to seven points (from 1,428.08 to 1,435.82 points), with a turnover of 37 million euros, of which 11.3 million euros are pre-agreed packages.

The banking index is trying to continue the upward reaction, as it is currently at +0.78% and 1,228 points, dropping below -10% from this year's highs.

Eurobank's share is up +1.04% and 2.037 euros, ΝΒG's share follows at +0.98% and 7.428 euros, Piraeus' share is trading at +0.45% and 3.827 euros, while Alpha's share is up +0.43% and 1.524 euros.

In the high-cap index (+0.43% and 3,494 points), the PPC share expands +1.2% and 12.1 euros, returning close to this year's "peaks". Titan, Viohalco, Aegean and ELVALHALKOR gain at least +1%, with Motor Oil shares approaching 21 euros again.. Helleniq Energy, Jumbo, Lamda, GEK Terna, EYDAP and OPAP lose up to 0.6%.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.24% and 2,307 points), the shares of Plastic Thrace stand out positively at +2.7% and 3.75 euros, while the shares of EYATH follow at +2.5% and 3.2 euros. Trade Estates and Ideal are up more than 1%. On the flip side, Intrakat's shares slide by about 1%, while Techniki Olympiai'Ks shares fall by 1.2%.
