Standard and Poor's made no move yesterday evening, maintaining its BBB-investment grade rating (the lowest level of investment grade) with a positive outlook.
On October 20, 2023, S&P was the first of the "major" rating agencies to assign the investment grade; Fitch soon followed. Scope and DBRS were prior to it.
Moody's rating remains one notch below investment grade, with the agency upgrading the outlook to positive in mid-September.
Analysts continue to believe that the Greek economy is well positioned to earn a further rating upgrade at the upcoming reviews by Fitch on November 22 and Scope on December 6.
