Businesses and households hold €12.4 billion of green bonds
The Bank of Greece has started to publish data on the holdings of sustainable debt securities businesses and individuals.

The Bank of Greece has started to publish data on the holdings of sustainable debt securities businesses and individuals. 

According to them, the current value for all sustainability-focused debt securities controlled by businesses and households in Greece stands at €24.486 billion at the end of the second quarter. 

Of these, almost half, in terms of current value, are "green," aimed at financing related projects. 

Of the €12.4 billion of securities, €11.7 billion of bonds are controlled by financial corporations, €650 million by households, €113 million by non-financial corporations, and just €10 million by the general government.
