Arab funds investing a €200 million in Εrmioni
Within the next few days, the Joint Ministerial Decision approving the Special Strategic Investment Spatial Development Plan for the establishment and operation of the Scarlet Beach complex tourist accommodation in Petrothalassa of Ermioni is expected to be signed.

Within the next few days, the Joint Ministerial Decision approving the Special Strategic Investment Spatial Development Plan for the establishment and operation of the Scarlet Beach complex tourist accommodation in Petrothalassa of Ermioni is expected to be signed. 

€203 MILLION INVESTMENT

This is a €203 million project at Petrothalassa in the location of the Municipal Unit of Ermioni, in the Municipality of Ermionida, Peloponnese Region, on an area of 217.5 acres, with a total projected building area of 26,100 square meters. Sheikh Tahhoun bin Zayed al-Nayan is the representative of the United Arab Emirates royal family's Scarlet Beach scheme.

 According to the Joint Ministerial Decision, it is planned to create a tourist complex of soft development, which will include:

  • a five-star hotel
  • furnished tourist residences
  • recreational areas
  • restaurants
  • bars 
  • a seaside entertainment area and
  • a tourist port facility

The building factor in the entire development zone of the special plan is set at 0.12 and the total area of the furnished tourist residences may not exceed 40% of the total area of the development zone. After the adoption of the Presidential Decree, specialised environmental impact studies as well as architectural and coastal engineering studies will have to be submitted. The area where the investment will be developed is located on the beach of Agioi Anargyroi, 2,7 km east of Petrothalassa, 8 km south of the town of Ermioni and 9,5 km east of Porto Heli. The location has a southeastern orientation and sea view. It is just one of the many investments currently being launched in the wider Argolida region
