Eurobank has entered into share purchase and sale agreements for the acquisition of a 12.848% stake in Hellenic Bank for €243 million and Demetra for €32.4 million.

Eurobank has entered into share purchase and sale agreements ("SPA") for the acquisition of a 12.848% stake in Hellenic Bank for €243 million.

Given that it already held 55,962% of Hellenic Bank, and after the completion of the transaction, its shareholding will amount to 68,81%.

Upon completion of the transaction, it will make a public offer for all shares in Hellenic Bank that it does not own at that time. 

In addition, according to the announcement, Eurobank acquired an 8.58% stake in the holding company Demetra for approximately €32.4 million. It is noted that Demetra, among others, holds a 21.3% stake in Hellenic Bank, making it the second largest shareholder.
