Spyros Theodoropoulos, President of SEV, spoke at the CEO Initiative Forum about the future of entrepreneurship in Greece, the change in the country's production model, and the ways in which SMEs can change their financial profile.
He referred to the need for major investments that have a multiplier effect and to strategies on how Greek businesses can adapt to new circumstances, enhance their resilience and prosper in an unstable international environment.
Spyros Theodoropoulos also said that the result of the US elections is simple and explainable. "The economic situation of American citizens explains it. The American economy is prospering. However, due to the insecurity resulting from immigration flows, Americans decided to vote antisystemically."
Commenting on the situation in Europe, the SEV president noted that the Draghi Report has already analysed its problems in a very precise way and noted that investments in production are needed. Referring then to the issue of business financing, the SEV President noted that the problem of bank lending is mainly found in small and micro enterprises and added that SEV is taking initiatives to inform them. He warned businesses that too small a company size does not help competitiveness.
In conclusion, Spyros Theodoropoulos spoke about his personal vision for SEV, which is to serve the member companies of the Association and to contribute ideas and proposals to the Greek economy.
