Stagnation prevails today (8/11) on the Athens Stock Exchange, with investors engaging in selective moves, while banks continue to rise for the 6th day.
The Greek market, driven by the strong 9-month figures of the banking sector, is comfortably above the psychological threshold of 1,400 points. At the same time, it is preparing to say goodbye to the week on a positive note, with the cumulative increase reaching +1.3%.
Specifically, in the last session of the week, the General Index rose imperceptibly by 0.03% to 1,408.89 points, gaining less than half a point compared to Thursday's close (1,408.50 points).
The arc of daily fluctuations extends to seven points (from 1,408.42 to 1,415.83 points), with a trading turnover of 55 million euros, of which 20.8 million euros are pre-agreed packages.
On the board, Eurobank is now climbing above 2 euros, boosted both by strong 9-month figures and an improved stake in Hellenic Bank. Alpha is also up by almost 3%, while Ethnik folds at -1.4%. Beyond that, OTE retreats towards 15 euros, with PPC sustained above 12 euros.
