Intralot is on a contract hunt, which, according to BnB Daily, is expected to announce the signing of two more lotteries in foreign countries by the end of the year, early next year at the latest. At the same time, the same reports say that out of the 12 lotteries in contention, it is very close to signing five. The company's management has opened the lottery fan, as it has about 50 active deals in 39 countries. Estimated revenues from these deals amount to €2 billion and a profit margin for the company of 36% to 40%.
THE COUNTRIES
The latest news, according to the same sources, is expected to come from Canada, Turkey and Australia, where the company is bidding for major projects. Some contracts are expiring, but extensions are expected to be obtained.
OHIO
An unfavorable development for the company was, as you read in BnB Daily, the loss of the lottery expansion in Ohio. The contract currently in force expires on June 30, 2027, and in the event of a successful outcome of the tender, the expected investment would have amounted to $200 million. At the same time, the project's net contribution to the company's EBITDA currently stands at around €20m.
MARKETING
At the same time, the company appears to be putting on ice for the time being the possibility of listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Although the groundwork has already been done, the company's goal is to reach a valuation of around €1.5 billion, which will take time. Especially at a time when international markets are not conducive to rising valuations.
OBJECTIVES
This year, Intralot is expected to end the year with an increase in operating profitability and, at the same time, a reduction in debt. Both of these objectives, on the basis of the data so far, appear likely to be achieved.
