The general turnover index in industry (total domestic and external market) decreased by 7.9% in September 2024, compared to the corresponding index of September 2023, compared to a decrease of 5.3% in September 2023 compared to September 2022.

The general turnover index in industry (total domestic and external market) decreased by 7.9% in September 2024, compared to the corresponding index of September 2023, compared to a decrease of 5.3% in September 2023 compared to September 2022.

Compared to the corresponding index for August, it showed an increase of 5.6%.

The average General Index for the twelve months October 2023 to September 2024, compared to the corresponding index for the twelve months October 2022 to September 2023, showed an increase of 1.1%, compared to an increase of 1.2% when comparing the corresponding previous twelve months.

Where the 7.9% decrease in September came from

1. From changes in the indexes of the individual industry sectors:

An 8.1 decline in the manufacturing turnover index. This decrease was mainly due to changes in the indicators of the two-digit sectors: production of coke and refined petroleum products, manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers, and manufacture of wearing apparel.
A 10.0% increase in the mining and quarrying turnover index. This increase was driven by changes in the two-digit indexes for the following two-digit industries: mining of metallic ores, other mining, and quarrying.
