Arrivals reached 5,024,857 arrivals and 22,971,551 overnight stays in the country's tourist accommodation in September this year, an increase of 2.7% in arrivals and 3.4% in overnight stays compared to the corresponding month of 2023.

In particular, according to the ELSTAT survey on the traffic of hotel-type accommodation, camping, and collective accommodation of short stays (rooms to let), there was an increase of 2.9% in arrivals and 3.6% in overnight stays of foreigners.

Similarly, for residents, there was an increase in arrivals and overnight stays of 1.8% and 1.5%, respectively.

A greater contribution to arrivals and overnight stays in total accommodation was observed from foreigners with 82.7% and 90.2%, respectively.

While the average total overnight stay amounted to 4.6 days.
