Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), one of Southern Europe's leading resort owners owned by funds managed by Blackstone and GIC, announced the addition of the Grand Hyatt Athens, an five-star hotel located in the centre of the Greek capital, to its portfolio. Blackstone-managed funds acquired the hotel from Henderson Park and Hines.
The Grand Hyatt Athens, which was fully renovated in 2023, has 548 rooms and 56 suites and is one of the largest hotels in the city. It features a spa and fitness center, four swimming pools, two of which are located on the terrace with stunning views of the Acropolis, and culinary options with two restaurants and two bars, two of which are also located on the terrace.
The hotel has one of the most extensive and modern conference facilities in Athens. These occupy an area of 4,435 sqm with 30 meeting rooms and ballrooms with a capacity of 2,550 people, making the iconic hotel one of the largest in Europe for conference tourism.
