The Athens Stock Exchange continued its positive signs today (3/12), although -with the exception of banks- there were no enthusiastic buying orders.
The Greek market, in any case, managed to reach the edge of 1,430 points, taking another step towards 1,450 points, which is the intermediate "station" before the final target of 1,502 points (a 13-year record).
Specifically, in the second session of the week, the General Index recorded a slight increase of +0.34% and stood at 1,429.22 points, gaining about five points compared to Monday's close (1,424.33 points).
The arc of daily fluctuations was fixed at 12 points (from 1,423.54 to 1,435.62 points), with the turnover of transactions exceeding 137 million euros, of which 5.5 million euros were related to pre-agreed packages.
The banking index continued to climb from recent 10-month lows as it finished +1.82% and 1,224 points, boosted by the definitive end to the extraordinary tax scenarios and pushing the cumulative two-day gain to +6.5%.
NBG shares climbed +3.69% to 7.20 euros, Eurobank followed at +1.61% to 2.146 euros, Piraeus shares traded +0.30% to 3.641 euros, while Alpha shares rose +1.17% to 1.557 euros.
In the high-cap index (+0.50% and 3,469 points), Aegean's share gained 1.8% and managed to approach the psychological threshold of 10 euros. The Jumbo share was also up +3.2% and continued to trade above 25 euros. OTE and EVDAP expanded by 0.9% and 0.7%, respectively. On the flip side, shares of Metlen and ELVALHALKOR retreated by at least 2%. Shares of OPAP, Hellaktor, AIA, PPC, Sarantis, Lamda, Autohellas also showed losses of more than 1%.
As for the mid-cap index (0.00% and 2,262 points), the shares of ADMIE stood out at +3.1% and 2.45 euros, attempting to approach the 2.5 euro milestone. Kri Kri shares gained 2.5% and returned to the record high of 14.5 euros, while EYATH shares finished +1.9% and 3.2 euros. On the other hand, shares of Lavipharm and Techniki Olympias lost 2.3% and 1.2% respectively, with Dimand shares falling -0.7% and 8.1 euros, close to historical lows
