Kotsovolos continues to provide a personalized experience and emphasizes the integration of digital systems to provide a unified value experience through Omnichannel.

As a traditional retailer, Kotsovolos ran a major transformation culminating in the adoption of its core system, SAP, which took place before February 2022. With the acquisition of the company by PPC, the goal is to offer the customer a personalized ecosystem of services and products that has the best of both organizations.

As George Antonakakis, Head of Unified Commerce & Operations Support at Kotsovolos, told BnB Daily, the strategy is taking shape, while the synthesis of two such organisations is a "difficult but exciting case with many points that requires understanding on both sides." In summary, he explained that ahead there is "a huge opportunity," and the two organisations need to prescribe the right steps on the path to it.

He stated that the objective is to invest in a way that leverages the strengths of both organizations, not just in technology, and ensures a uniform approach towards the customer. That goal involves a lot of investment, he said.

For Kochsovolos in particular, the online channel, although it represents a relatively small part of turnover, is a "respected and very strong channel" because consumers seek the experience through it, as well as through its network of stores, which currently stands at 90. "For the consumer, the whole experience and the touch point are important. More than 80% of consumers also touch the website for shopping, but that doesn't mean that the final shopping channel will be online." Additionally, he stated that as physical and online stores interact, it doesn't really matter which... button a customer completes their purchase from.
