The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, a member company of the State Treasury, announces the start of the tender procedure for the development of the property "Coast and Camping of Posidi Kalandra," with an area of approximately 129 acres, located in Poseidi, in the Municipal Unit of Kalandra, in the Municipality of Kassandra of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki, Region of Central Macedonia.
A Special Spatial Development Plan (ESXADA) has been prepared for the property, which provides for the zoning of a tourism-recreation zone in the entire property. The ESHADA and the Strategic Environmental Impact Study (SEIS) will be approved in the next period by Presidential Decree, in accordance with the current legislation.
The 129 acres of the property include:
- An area practically occupied by the current use of the Kalandra Poseidi Camping, with an area of 88,421.84 sq.m. and consisting of two sections with areas of 86,744.47 sq.m. and 1,677.37 sq.m. respectively, which are separated by the Kalandra - Aegean road, and
- An area of 40,604.43 sq.m. falling within the boundaries of Zone B of the archaeological site of the Sanctuary of Poseidon (Government Gazette 1080/B/05.12.1997 and Government Gazette 443/B/26.04.1999).
The property is in contact with residential and holiday settlements (Posidi, Kalandra, Skala Fourkas) and in close proximity to several hotel complexes and other tourist facilities (Possidi Holidays Resort Suites Hotel, Hotel Acropolis, Hotel Thea, Mendi Hotel, etc.) in the area of Kalandra. It is 2.6 km from the coastal settlement of Posidi, 5 km from Kalandra, 10 km from Skala Fourka and about 25 km from Kassandria, which is the administrative seat of the Municipality of Kassandra. Just 5 km away is the archaeological site of the temple of Poseidon, which is the oldest sanctuary of Poseidon and serves as a landmark for the area. The camps of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which have been operating in Kalandra Halkidiki since 1960, are also a landmark for the area.
The tender concerns the transfer to the Preferred Investor resulting from the tender procedure, of specific rights in rem (ownership and/or surface area of the property) for a period of ninety-nine (99) years. The tender procedure of the Hellenic Real Estate Fund will be conducted in two phases: the pre-qualification phase (Phase A) and the submission of binding offers (Phase B). Interested investors are invited to submit an expression of interest file by 12 March 2025.
