Saudi Arabian real estate company Dar Global has announced plans to expand its investment in the US and Greece, following the Dubai-based development company's agreement with the Trump Organization.

The international arm of Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company said in a statement that it plans to invest in "key international cities" in the US, according to Reuters.

Its investment plans include working with leading developers to create luxury homes, targeting both U.S. and international buyers, it said without providing further details.

Dar Global has made a number of deals with The Trump Organization, the company of US President-elect Donald Trump. They include projects for Trump Towers in Jeddah and Dubai, as well as a real estate project in Oman.

Trump Organization executive vice president Eric Trump told Reuters last month that the company is still planning two more projects with Dar Global in Saudi Arabia, including a tower in Riyadh, and is planning further expansion in Abu Dhabi, in the neighboring UAE.

Donald Trump cultivated close ties with Gulf states during his first term as president, including Saudi Arabia, which has invested $2 billion in a company owned by his son-in-law and former adviser Jared Kushner.

Other close allies of Trump have also maintained business ties in the Gulf after he leaves office in 2021.
