The Athens Stock Exchange closed at the low of the day in the last session of the week, as Wall Street's losses brought clouds to Europe.
Of course, the liquidations did not take up much space, allowing the Greek market to maintain its gains and defend the 1,500 points, which is the highest level in 14 years (since April 2011).
Specifically, reversing the intraday lead of buyers, the General Index declined by -0.48% to 1,503.73 points, losing 7.2 points compared to Thursday's close (1,510.93 points).

Shares of OTE, Ellaktor, PPC, Viohalco, Helleniq Energy and Coca - Cola retreated more than 1%. Lamda Development shares also fell by 2%, while shares of OPAP and Metlen retreated by almost 0.9%. On the flip side, Titan Cement's shares gained +1.3% and recovered the 40 euro mark.
As for the mid-cap index (-1.14% and 2,421 points), Intracom shares lost 50% of yesterday's gains as they slid -2.6% and 3.09 euros. The shares of AXAE also fell by 2%, while shares of Thrace Plastics, Kri Kri, Intralot, ADMIE, AVAX, Quest, Lavipharm and Fourlis lost at least 1%.
