More than 36 million passengers were handled in 2024 at the 14 regional airports managed by Fraport Greece.
In more detail, according to a Fraport Greece statement, passenger traffic increased by 6.4% compared to 2023, handling approximately 2.1 million more passengers.
In this context, the number of domestic flights increased by 4.7% (86,026), the number of international flights increased by 4.2% (190,315), and overall (domestic and international flights), the increase reached 4.4%.
It is also noteworthy that in 2016 (the year in which the concession tender was completed), the 14 regional airports served a total of 25,008,965 passengers, while in 2024 this number reached 36,026,347 passengers, an increase of 44.1% or 11,017,382 more passengers compared to the year before the concession.
It is also noteworthy that between 2017 and 2024, more than 212.5 million passengers passed through the 14 airports, which underlines the company's significant contribution to the support and sustainable development of Greek tourism.
