Huawei announced its strategic partnership with Faria Renewables. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding, which covers the supply of FusionSolar Smart PV & ESS photovoltaic solutions while providing integrated technical support for the implementation of 1GWh projects by 2026 in Greece and "summarizes their shared vision for the development of green energy in Greece," according to the announcement.

A PROJECT IN ΕLLASONA

Faria Renewables and Huawei have already proceeded with the contracting of the first project for the implementation of the LUNA2000-4472 Series Smart String ESS (BESS) liquid-cooled battery energy storage system, which will be built in Elassona. This is a project with a nominal capacity of 49.9 MW and a storage capacity of 100 MWh, which will be commissioned by the end of 2025. 

PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS

The project covered by this contract was licensed with 49.9 MW/100 MWh and secured funding under the 2nd competitive procedure of RAEEY for aid to electricity storage plants. The station will be connected, operated and maintain this performance at the point of connection to the Greek Electricity Transmission System for at least 10 years of operation.

Delivery of the equipment is expected in the summer of 2025.
