Today (21/1) the Athens Stock Exchange is assimilating the new 14-year highs, with investors making cautious moves.
Specifically, in the second session of the week, the General Index is down a subtle -0.03% to 1,530.46 points, losing less than half a point from Monday's close (1,530.87 points).
The arc of daily fluctuations extends over two points (from 1,529.29 to 1,531.54 points), with the turnover of transactions ranging at 4.5 million in the first 20 minutes.
The banking index, which is expanding over +10.3% since the beginning of the year, is digesting the 9-year highs and is now at -0.10% and 1,417 points.
Piraeus shares retreat -0.34% and 4.355 euros, NBG shares follow at -0.12% and 8.47 euros, Alpha shares trade -0.37% and 1.7585 euros, while Eurobank shares rise +0.20% and 2.455 euros.
In the high-cap index (-0.10% and 3,734 points), Metlen's share, after yesterday's awakening, continues mildly upwards at +0.41% and 34 euros, while PPC's share remains at the "tops" of 12.7 euros, registering an increase of +0.3%. Beyond that, Titan Cement shares climb further to +0.5% and a record high of EUR 43.3. In contrast, shares of OPAP, EYDAP and Optima lose between -0.4% and -0.6%.
As for the mid-cap index (-0.13% and 2,403 points), Aktor Group's shares are down -0.8% and EUR 4.7, while today is the last day of trading of the subscription right for the AMK. Austriacard, Quest and Intracom are down around -1%. On the flip side, shares of ADMIE and Trade Estates gain +0.5%, with shares of Autohellas and Dimand gaining +1%.
