
With Michael Chamaz, a prominent executive in the high-tech business world, as Chairman and a 20% increase in its share capital, Intracom Defense (IDE) is moving forward with its transition into the new era of the defense industry.
Following its acquisition by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in June 2023 and with the aim of further strengthening its dynamic growth path, the General Assembly on January 20, 2025, approved IDE's new Board of Directors, composed of highly competent and experienced market executives.
Welcoming the Chairman and members of the new Board, the CEO, Mr. George Troullinos, said: "It is with great pleasure that I welcome Mr. Michalis Tsamaz and the new members of the Board of Directors to the IDE family, who I firmly believe will contribute significantly to our efforts for technological development and excellence," while he described in broad terms IDE's vision: "IDE has so far managed to grow in Greece and abroad thanks to its consistency, innovation and extroversion. The new geopolitical realities create significant opportunities for further growth in the Space and Defence sector, which IDE is targeting. By increasing the company's share capital and expanding the board of directors with new remarkable executives with significant experience and skills, the company will achieve its high goals.".
Michael Chamaz stressed for his part: "I take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intracom Defense with a sense of responsibility and commitment to contribute to the further development of Greek defense technology. Mr. Chamaz went on to identify the dynamic goals of the new era: "Our goal is to continue to lead the way, strengthening both the technological development of our country and its defence armour. For me, it is a national duty to ensure that a Greek defence technology company remains at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the formation of a strong and self-sufficient defence ecosystem for our country."
