
The tender of the Strategic Contracts Unit of the Growth Fund for the divestment, disposal and utilization of the declassified equipment of the Hellenic Defence Systems has been extended until 11/02/2025, Tuesday at 15:00, i.e., one week later than originally planned.
The tender involves separate auctions for approximately 110 pieces of equipment, materials, etc., located in the YMTU's YMTU Factory Complex (FPS) in two separate buildings. The tender will be followed by a review of the documents of those who have shown interest, and then, within 20 days, those who meet the criteria will be invited to submit bids, while the proceeds will be received by the Hellenic Defence Systems.
PYRKAL
The tender is a key step for the major project of the Andreas Lentakis Governor's Park, as the relocation of the Hellenic Defence Systems's mechanical equipment must be completed beforehand for its creation. eIt will be recalled that recently, the Ministry of Public Works turned on the green light for the start of the second phase of the competitive dialogue of the PPP tender being run by the Strategic Contracts Unit of the Ministry of Public Works for the tender. The following schemes have passed this phase:
- GEK Terna
- Avax - Aktor Concessions
- Metlen - Intrakat
Those who expressed interest in the first phase of the tender are also those that pass to the second phase.
THE PROJECT
The project is carried out through a public-private partnership and the preferred investor will undertake the construction, financing, maintenance and operation for 30 years of the new administrative building complex and urban park. The project is valued at €421 million (plus VAT) and covers an area of 154 hectares. The project includes the creation of a new administrative office complex on the premises of EVO-PYRKAL, including the development of a large urban park that will act as a green lung in the wider area of the municipality of Daphne-Hymettus. In detail it includes
- the demolition of 66 existing buildings
- the renovation of 24 listed buildings
- the construction of 4 new building
- 2 underground parking areas
- the design of the urban park
The Park will host 9 ministries and central services of the Ministries of Finance, Development, Labour, Health, Environment, Culture, Interior, Rural Development and Tourism, while the establishment of the Superfund and its subsidiaries (Hellenic Investment Fund and the EBRD) is also envisaged.
