
The Athens Stock Exchange is showing signs of reaction today (4/2), with buyers attempting to recover some of yesterday's large losses.
In this environment, in the second session of the week, the General Index shows a cautious increase of +0.47% and stands at 1,514.56 points, gaining seven points compared to Monday's close (1,507.50 points).
The arc of daily fluctuations extends to nine points (from 1,512.67 to 1,521.02 points), with a turnover of 7.5 million in the first 15 minutes.
Banking index, after Monday's dynamic "setback" (-4%), is rushing to return to positive territory, resulting in +0.67% and 1,366 points.
The share of Piraeus, which "stars" in the scenarios for Helleinc General Insurance, expands +1.49% and 4.217 euros, the share of Alpha follows at -1.33% and 1.7155 euros, the share of NBG is trading +0.83% and 8.216 euros, while the share of Eurobank moves +0.52% and 2.331 euros.
In the high capitalization index (+0.50% and 3.688 points), the share of Titan Cement climbs +1.1% and 43.5 euros, while the shares of Motor Oil, Hellaktor, AIA, PPC, Jumbo also show gains of 1%. The shares of ELVALHALKOR and Viohalco, which yesterday suffered extensive “losses”, recover sparingly by +0.7% and +0.8% respectively. On the flip side, Sarantis shares are retracing 0.7%.
As for the mid-cap index (+0.24% and 2,390 points), Dimand shares stand out positively at +1.9% and 8.1 euros, in an attempt to break away from the year's lows (8.03 euros). Shares of Plastic Thrace, Intracom Holdings and AVAX follow by more than +1%, with shares of Austriacard, Ideal, Quest and ADMIE gaining up to +0.9%. In contrast, Aktor's shares tumble by -2.5% and fall below EUR 5, following the listing of new shares. Kri Kri and Noval are down by at least -1.5%.
