A new upward movement is manifested today (13/2) on the Athens Stock Exchange, with buyers leading the market to the highest levels of the last 14 years.

Boosted on the one hand by the prospect of an end to the war in Ukraine and on the other by strong corporate figures, investors are not missing the opportunity to reposition themselves, lifting previous reservations related to trade tariffs.

Thus, after yesterday's climb above 1,560 points, Athens is setting the stage for another "top," conquering the 1,570-point area and setting its sights on the medium-term target of 1,600 points, which have been missing since March 2011.

Specifically, in the fourth session of the week, the General Index recorded a remarkable rise of +0.91% to 1,576.20 points, gaining more than 14 points compared to Wednesday's close (1,562.04 points).

The arc of the daily fluctuations extends to 12 points (from 1,565.97 to 1,577.14 points), with the turnover of the transactions ranging at 6 million in the first 15 minutes.

The banking index, in anticipation of the sector's financial results, rises +0.83% and 1,425 points, again approaching this year's "peaks.".

Alpha's share expands to +0.87% and 1.8055 euros, Piraeus' share follows at +0.83% and 4.522 euros, NBG's share trades at +0.58% and 8.348 euros, while Eurobank's share rises to +0.42% and 2.41 euros.

Following strong 2024 figures and a generous dividend of 1.03 euros, Coca-Cola shares climb +5.1% and 37.5 euros in the high-cap index (+0.90% and 3,848 points), reaching a new all-time high. Titan Cement's share halts the downward trend with a return of +1% and 43 euros, while Lamda-ELVALHALKOR shares also demonstrate gains exceeding +1%. Simultaneously, Metlen's share experiences a surge of +0.9%, reaching a record high of 35.6 euros.

As for the mid-cap index (+0.34% and 2,515 points), AVAX shares continue to soar to 15-year highs as they expand to +2.6% and 2.1 euros. Thrace Plastics shares also make a dynamic start, recovering 4 euros thanks to today's +2.4% gain. On the flip side, Kri Kri shares retreated by 0.9% and digested yesterday's historic record high of EUR 16.7.
