
Today, Optima Bank released its annual financial results for 2024, registering impressive performance once again that confirms its stable upward trajectory.
With a remarkable increase in its key metrics and exceptional results across all qualitative indicators, Optima Bank has managed to be the fastest-growing bank in Europe for the fifth consecutive year, as stated in a related announcement by the bank.
Specifically, Optima Bank's after-tax profits for 2024 exceeded €140.2 million, reflecting a 36% increase year-on-year, and more than tripling compared to 2022. As a result, the Return on Tangible Equity (RoTE) reached 25.3%, the highest percentage among Greek banks and one of the highest in Europe.
Similarly, its own funds demonstrated significant growth, reaching €620 million, with a 22% year-on-year increase. Deposits saw a 45% rise year-on-year, surpassing €4.6 billion, more than double compared to 2022. Additionally, loan disbursements for 2024, aimed at enhancing business liquidity and supporting new sustainable development plans, amounted to €2.8 billion, marking a 40% increase from 2023. Net loan balances reached €3.7 billion, up 49% compared to 2023 and more than double the amount from 2022. Importantly, the NPE (non-performing exposure) ratio remains below 1%, by far the lowest in the Greek market.
