
In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Greek economy recorded a growth of 0.9% compared to the third quarter of 2024 (which has been revised upward to 0.4%) and an increase of 2.6% in comparison with the fourth quarter of 2023. As a result, the GDP growth for the entire year reached 2.3%.
According to the data, the changes in the main macroeconomic indicators in terms of volume, adjusted for seasonality, are as follows:
Quarter:
- Overall final consumption expenditure decreased by 0.4% compared to the third quarter of 2024.
- Gross fixed capital formation increased by 5.3% compared to the third quarter of 2024.
- Exports of goods and services increased by 0.9% compared to the third quarter of 2024. Exports of goods fell by 0.5%, while exports of services rose by 2.2%.
- Imports of goods and services decreased by 1.7% compared to the third quarter of 2024. Imports of goods decreased by 1.4%, and imports of services fell by 2.1%.

- Total final consumption expenditure showed a decrease of 0.3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
- Gross fixed capital formation increased by 9.0% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
- Exports of goods and services rose by 3.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. Exports of goods increased by 1.6%, while exports of services grew by 5.9%.
- Imports of goods and services increased by 2.4% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. Imports of goods rose by 2.0%, and imports of services grew by 4.8%.
