ATHEX, recovering from earlier losses, is experiencing cautious trading following Moody's decision to upgrade Greece's credit rating to investment grade.

The General Index initially dipped to 1,685.42 points (-0.48%) but is currently trading at 1,695.2 points, reflecting a modest increase of +0.11%. The index briefly touched a high of 1,700.53 during the session. Trading volume is nearing 100 million euros, with approximately 22 million shares changing hands.

The banking index has recorded a slight rise of 0.15%, reaching 1,672 points. Meanwhile, the FTSE index for large-cap stocks stands at 4,200 points, also up +0.11%, while the FTSEM mid-cap index has increased by +0.57%, now at 2,547 points.

The major news driving market activity is Moody's credit rating upgrade for Greece, which occurred late Friday. ATHEX appeared to anticipate this positive development, reflected in last week's performance, where the General Index rose by 4.07% and the banking sector surged by 4.38%.
