Reports €2.139 billion primary budget surplus for January-February period

The Bank of Greece has announced a primary budget surplus of €2.139 billion for the state budget during the January-February period, a slight decrease from the €2.186 billion surplus recorded during the same period in 2024.
In parallel, the cash result for the central administration during this timeframe showed a surplus of €836 million, a significant increase from the €346 million surplus noted in the corresponding period of the previous year.
During this period, regular budget revenues reached €11.636 billion, showcasing an increase from €10.696 billion in the previous year. Meanwhile, regular budget expenditures totalled €10.781 billion, compared to €9.552 billion for the January-February period of 2024.
