In January, arrivals in hotel-type accommodations, campsites, and short-term collective rentals (rooms for rent) in the country reached 742,865, and overnight stays totaled 1,656,673. This reflects an increase of 3.6% in arrivals and 2.7% in overnight stays compared to the same month in 2024. 

Specifically, according to ELSTAT data, there was a 6.3% increase in arrivals and a 5.1% increase in overnight stays from foreign visitors. For domestic visitors, arrivals and overnight stays increased by 2.4% and 1.3%, respectively.

Domestic visitors contributed more significantly to the total arrivals and overnight stays, accounting for 67% and 63.3%, respectively. The average length of stay was reported at 2.2 days.
