According to ELSTAT, the strength of the Greek commercial fleet increased by 1% in January 2024 compared to January 2023, swelling to a total of 1,837 vessels. This growth contrasts with a slight decrease of 0.2% observed from January 2023 to January 2024. 

The total capacity of the Greek commercial fleet (comprising vessels of 100 gross tons and above) reached 35,599,749 gross tons, although this figure represents a decline of 2.3% compared to January 2024. Additionally, a more substantial decrease of 4.1% was noted when comparing January 2023 to January 2024.
