ELSTAT has announced that the General Producer Price Index in Industry increased by 0.6% in February 2025 compared to February 2024. On a month-to-month basis, however, there was a slight decline of 0.1% from January. Over the past twelve months, from March 2024 to February 2025, the average General Index has decreased by 1.1% compared to the previous year’s average.

The rise in production costs for domestic industries can be attributed to notable shifts in specific market indices, including a 2% increase in the domestic market producer price index and a 3.3% decrease in the external market producer price index.
