Stocks in Athens rose early Friday, in a bid to regain some of the lost ground after four consecutive sessions of losses. However, Europe’s risk-off mode on the back of expectations for higher-for-longer than expected interest rates, should have an impact on local assets. 

 

At 1034 local time, the general share index was trading 0.4% higher to 1205 points. 

 

Jumbo was 2.3% higher, following the release of a robust first half performance and the surprising announcement for an extraordinary DPS of 1.47 euros per share.
