Greek banks announce 4-mo moratorium of loans to floods-affected borrowers

Greek banks announced a four-month moratorium of loans to floods-affected borrowers. The measure concern performing loans. 
 
Also, the president of Greek lenders Vassilis Rapanos said that court and out-of-court debt collection procedures will be suspended until the end of the year. 
 
Finally, the four systemic banks decided to offer 50 million euros for restoration of damages infrastructure in the region of Thessaly. 
 
Press reports suggested that the loan exposure of the four systemic banks to Thessaly amounts to 4.5 billion euros with the affected loans estimated at 1.5-2.0 billion euros.
