PPC's retail market share drops sharply in Sept due to HV losses
Independent Power Producers’ share in retail market rises to 45.9%, with GEK-Terna’s Heron ranking first with 11.8%, followed by Mytilineos’ Protergia with 7.9% and Elpedison with 6.17%.
PPC’s share in the local electricity retail market dropped 5.6% in September compared to the previous month, to 54.1%, largely due to heavy losses in high-voltage users, data from the Energy Exchange showed.
Independent Power Producers’ share in retail market rose to 45.9% in September, with GEK-Terna’s Heron ranking first with 11.8%, followed by Mytilineos’ Protergia with 7.9% and Elpedison with 6.17%.
Total electricity demand rose 6.5% y-o-y to 4,545/GWh. The monthly average clearing price stood at 101.95euros /MWh, down by 7.4euros/MWh m-o-m and sharply lower by 315.0 euros/MWh from September 2022.
