Stocks in Athens traded flat early Thursday, with investors remaining cautious. Some early gains at open were offset. European shares opened slightly higher as longer-dated U.S. Treasury yields eased from 16-year highs, offering some relief to equities.
“We expect the international markets to set the tone in today’s session,” Optima Bank Research wrote in its daily note.
At 1053 local time, the general share index was flat at 1170 points. Banks were down 0.4% as investors locked in some of the sector’s profits on Wednesday.
