Stocks trade higher, trying to claw back losses
Equities trade higher in early Friday, taking their cue from Europe's mild recoveries. Brokers argue that a technical rebound should be on cards.
Stocks traded higher early Friday, in a bid to claw back some of the recently lost ground. European shares rose slightly, lending aid.
“Critical technical point reached as domestic market is down for sixth consecutive week. Volatility on the cards for another session as investors remain cautious awaiting more concrete news from central banks’ intentions with regards to interest rates,” Beta Securities wrote in its daily note.
At 1048 local time, the general share index was up 0.6% to 1160 points. Banks were in line with the rise, adding 0.7%.
