Equities traded lower at midday, after bouncing off session lows at open. Still, local stocks suffered steeper losses than European peers, as some bourses flipped to gains from losses boosted by energy stocks. Risk-aversion mode prevails.
At 1358 local time, the general share index fell 1.3% to 1122 points. Turnover amounted to 138 million euros, boosted by HFSF’s transfer of 52 million shares to Eurobank.
On the stocks’ side, banks were down 2%. Aegean sank 2%. In contrast, Coca Cola HBC firmed 1.2%.
