Household disposable income rises 7.6% in 2022; Consumption grows 14.3%
Household disposable income rises 7.6% in 2022 to 135.9 billion euros. However, the savings rate is negative by 4.0%.

Greek household disposable income rose 7.6% in 2022 compared to the previous year, reaching 135.9 billion euros, statistics office of ELSTAT said. 

 

Final consumption spending grew 14.3% in 2022 compared to the previous year,  amounting 141.4 billion euros. 

 

The saving rate of the households, defined as gross saving divided by gross disposable income, was -4.0% in 2022 compared to +2.1% in 2021. 

 

 The gross investment rate of non-financial corporations was 19.3% in 2022 compared with 20.4% in 2021.
