There is no risk of housing bubble in Greece, panelists at the Prodexpo Conference concluded. Still, warehousing demand is rising while the market lacks green warehousing logistisc.

There is no risk of housing bubble in Greece, panelists at the Prodexpo Conference concluded.  

“House prices in the local market are justified and not fast rising, meaning that we don’t have to do with a bubble,” Spiridoula Boutou Chief Operating Officer with MIBS Group told the Conference. 

 

Solum Property CEO Panos Haralambopoulos stressed that there is the supply in new apartments is falling short of the demand, adding that current prices of new apartments are higher that the “pick” price of 2008. 

“There are indication for housing bubble,” said Valia Dimou Head of Property Sales & Servicing Division τof Cerved Property Services. 

She pointed out, however, that housing market shows discrepancies as the Western suburbs have no recovered from the market’s pick in 2008.  Dimou said that buyers’ profile has changed and there are many buyers from abroad. 

Commercialization & Business Development Director of doValue said that “servicers manage older  properties, which meet high demand."

Warehousing demand and the importance of green warehousing logistics were topics of the Conference which attracted strong interest. Nectarios Notes. Founder and CEO of Notice Content and Services coordinated the discussion. 

“Local market is not ready yet to adopt ESG criteria and to pay for green logistics,” Christos Kakkavas, board member of Logistics company EEL said.
