Stocks in Athens moved sideways in midday trade, following Europe’s cautious stance. Banks are slightly higher with investors awaiting the third quarter earnings reports next week. 

At 1441 local time, the general share index was down 0.1% to 1175 points. Volumes were light. 

Among individual stocks, Cenergy was ups 2.8%, PPC +2.3%, OTE +1.8%. In contrast, Jumbo fell 3.1%, Mytilineos -1.9%. 

Banks were up 0.4%
