Taxpayers who report cases of tax evasion through the “Appodixi” application, can get a bonus of up to 3,000 euros, Finance Minister Costis Hatzidakis said, during the presentation of the platform.

The “Appodixi” cellphone application can identify the authenticity of the receipt, Finance Minister Costis Hatzidakis said, during the presentation of the platform.

According to AADE data, over 235,000 citizens have already downloaded the app, a number expected to increase with the establishment of the “bonus.” Since the day it was activated, 135,000 complaints have been submitted, of which 75,000 were anonymous and 60,000 were provided with the senders name.

Hatzidakis said details of this bonus will be included in the draft taxation bill with measures against tax evasion that will be presented to the cabinet on Tuesday.
