Shares in Athens finished higher for a third straight session, but October was another month which closed with losses. Some bottom-fishing among heavyweights gave the positive sign at today’s session. The week is rich in third quarter earning releases, which are expected to add some colour in the coming sessions.  

The general share index firmed 0.6% to close at 1193 points. Some 81 million euros worth of stocks exchanged hands. 

Notable movers were Titan +4.9%, Cenergy +3.6%, OPAP +3.8%. 

Banks ended with aggregate losses of 0.6%.
