There was a slight decline in the economic climate, with mild weakening across all sectors except construction, recorded in October, as indicated by the Hellenic Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE), with the respective index dropping from 107.7 units in September to 106.4 units.

In the business field, this development is the result of a decline in expectations in retail trade, a milder weakening in Industry and Services, while the more optimistic expectations in Construction do not offset the rest of the trends.

The Business Expectations Index in Industry weakened significantly in October, dropping to 96.5 units from 100.5 units in September.
