The market rises above 1,200 points, led by the banks.

Specifically, the General Index strengthens by 1.32% and stands at 1,212 points, with a turnover of 36 million euros and a trading volume of 8.5 million shares.

The banking index leads the rise with a jump of 2.5% to 978 points, while the high-capitalization FTSE records an increase of 1.3% at 2,965 points, along with the mid-cap FTSEM which is up 1.57% at 2,000 points.

OTE is the negative protagonist, with a -4.2% and a turnover of over 5 million, which is logical given the ex-dividend date today for the interim dividend.

In the banks, Piraeus rallies by 4.5%, Alpha strengthens by 3.5%, National Bank gains 3.1%, and Eurobank rises by 0.9%.

TERNA Energy strengthens by 3%, Aegean by 3.9%, Cenergy by 0.6%, ELPE by 2.3%, and Motor Oil by 2.1%.

Intrakat rallies by 4.1% with a turnover of 580 thousand euros, while Fourlis, Intracom, and HAE Group all strengthen by over 2.5% with trading activity exceeding 200 thousand euros.
